Underexplored under-cover opportunity, 10 to 20 min drive south from Val-d’Or Camp, in the Pontiac Province

Lac Simard Property

  • The Lac Simard Property (the “Property”) is approximately 5 km south of Val-d’Or, Quebec. The Property abuts the southern edge of Agnico Eagle’s Goldex
    claim block.
  • There are 3 operating gold mines within 20 km of the Property including Agnico Eagle’s Goldex and Canadian Malartic mines and Eldorado Gold’s Lamaque
    mine.
  • All three of which are considered to be orogenic gold deposits and occur along the Larder Lake – Cadillac Fault System.
  • The Lac Simard property is located 4.9 km south of the Cadillac/Larder Lake Break fault that hosts many world-class mining camps (>100 Mt) such as Val-d’Or, Malartic, Cadillac, etc. According to the geological map of the Val-d’Or gold camp, the geological context of the Lac Simard property is almost similar to that of a few showings discovered in the region, such as the Lac Ben, Gouldie Zone, and Bravo Zone in the Malartic area.
  • The most notable feature that is common to this type of mineralized showings is their location in sedimentary rocks of the Pontiac Group, and their proximity to crustal-scale faults, shear zones, and tension fractures that act as conduits in the upwelling and channeling of mineralizing fluids.

Advantages of the Property:

  • Location: 5 to 10 km south of Val-d’Or camp in the Pontiac Group.
  • Gold 2.98g/t Au and Zn showing south of Cadillac Fault.
  • Presence of mafic, ultramafic and intrusive plugs, quartz with tourmaline with historic 1-3 g/t Au
  • Geological environment: presence of ultramafic rocks (Sillon LaMotte – Vassan, known for its nickel mineralisation at Marbridge), outcropping because of a sheared anticlinal mega fold (Imreh 1984.)
  • Biscotasing diabase dike crossing the entire property in the NE direction.
  • Drilled showing New Jersey : Values: 1,70% Zn, 0,25% Cu, 0,38% Ni
  • Drilled showing Lac Ben: Values: 1 to 2,78 g/t Au.
  • A lot of overburden explains the lack of exploration south of Val-d’Or
  • Under cover exploration techniques have been used by us :

  • MAG Geophycal and lineament compilation has been completed by Abitibi Geophysics.

Vassan Belt Property, Au, Ni-Cu-Co, Li

  • 5km North of Val-d’Or
  • LaMotte – Vassan Ultramafic (Au, Ni-Cu-Co) – Basaltic Belt
  • At the contact with the Lac Malartic Fault zone
  • South of the famous LaCorne (Li) Batholith.

Bellehumeur Coarse Gold Showing (ancient small scale gold mine in 1926), mined ore up to 50 to 708 oz/t

  • Located in Temiscamingue, 5km north of town of Bearn.
  • Very easily accessed
  • 2 old shafts present and 1 ramp into the central hill.
  • 2 to 5 feet main quartz vein zone with historic Bonanza grade visible gold.
